What is a parliamentarian?

A professional parliamentarian can serve your organization in the following ways:

• Meeting Parliamentarian - act as a meeting consultant to the presiding officer and members, with training ahead of the meeting, if desired, for the presiding officer
   

• Convention Consultant - completely script the business meeting ahead of time and provide basic parliamentary procedure training to the presiding officer, delegates, and members if needed, as well as serve as a consultant during the business meeting
   

• Written Parliamentary Opinions - review governing documents, including bylaws, special rules of order, standing rules, and minutes, and provide a written opinion and suggestions based on the principles of parliamentary law and Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised
   

• Bylaws Writing - new bylaws or bylaws amendment/revision
   

• Bylaws Interpretation - assist with interpretation of bylaws
   

• Parliamentary Workshops - structured to the level of experience and knowledge of each individual group, ranging in length from two-hour, half-day, to all-day.
