What is a meeting parliamentarian?
A meeting parliamentarian acts as a consultant to the presiding officer and
members. Training can be provided ahead of the meeting, if desired, for the presiding
officer and/or delegate briefing. A convention or meeting can be completely
scripted in advance, leaving almost nothing to chance, including amendments to
the bylaws, complete bylaws revisions, officer and committee reports such as the
reports of the credentials, bylaws, and nominating committees, as well as
nominations from the floor and election of officers, etc.
